IOF kidnaps 6 Palestinians in West Bank, Jerusalem
Picture
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Wednesday arrested a number of Palestinian citizens, including a child, during large-scale home raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Local sources said that the IOF abducted four Palestinian citizens after raiding and searching their homes in different villages in the West Bank province of Bethlehem.

The IOF further arrested two Palestinians, including a 15-year-old boy, during a campaign in al-Isawiya village east of Jerusalem.

Local residents said that violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers who stormed Birzeit town north of Ramallah. No injuries were reported.

About 5,700 Palestinian prisoners are currently held in Israeli jails, including 230 children, 48 female prisoners, 500 administrative detainees, and 1,800 detainees with serious health problems, 700 of whom need urgent medical intervention.

Israeli Troops Abduct 4 Palestinians, Including Cancer Patient, from Bethlehem
Picture
Israeli Forces invaded the Bethlehem district before dawn on Wednesday and abducted three youth and a 45-year old man suffering from cancer.

The attacks took place in Beit Jala town, Aida refugee camp, and al-Izza refugee camp in Bethlehem.

Israeli troops invaded the region with multiple armored vehicles and soldiers, and forced their way into several family homes where the residents were sleeping.

In al-Izza camp north of Bethlehem, Israeli forces abducted a cancer patient, Nawaf Ismail al-Qaisi, 45.

From the same camp, Israeli troops abducted Mohammed Nader Jawarish, 17.

The Israeli troops also invaded the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem and abducted Mohammed Hamdi al-Masa’id, Ashraf al-Sheikh from Aida camp, after the troops raided and searched their homes.

These pre-dawn raids are a nightly occurrence in various parts of the West Bank, with Israeli forces invading and abducting Palestinian homes and abducting residents they have decided are “wanted”.

16 Palestinians kidnaped by IOF in W. Bank and J’lem
Picture
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Tuesday kidnaped 16 Palestinian citizens from their homes in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

According to a statement by the Israeli army, 12 citizens were taken prisoners during IOF campaigns in the West Bank.

Among the detainees are four ex-detainee from Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem.

In Jerusalem, Israeli police forces kidnaped last night three kids after assaulting them in Issawiya. They were identified as Ahmed Mahmoud, Waseem Dari and Ismail Muhaisen.

The Israeli police also detained a local official in Issawiya called Yaser Dirweesh after summoning him for interrogation.

Israeli Forces Abduct 12 Palestinians During Pre-Dawn Raids in the West Bank

Israeli troops invaded several parts of the West Bank before dawn on Tuesday, abducting 12 Palestinians from their homes while they were sleeping.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, four Palestinians were abducted from Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem: Marwan Fararja, 18, Omar Emad Radi, Yazan Hamza al-Kurd, 17, and Rami Nasser Assaf, 18. All four teens had previously been imprisoned by Israel without charges under so-called ‘administrative detention’ and had been released.

In addition, four Palestinians from the Hebron district were abducted: Issa Ahmed Ta’amra, 22, former prisoner Hassan Mohammed Hassan, 25, and Adel Ahmed Zaqaiq, 16. All three are from Beit Ummar town. Also in the Hebron District, Israeli troops abducted Musa Gabriel Musa Omar.

In al-Issawiya, Israeli troops abducted Mahmoud Fayez Mahmoud, who is the head of the Parents’ Committee of al-Issawiya that has organized a school strike since Saturday, and had just announced a non-violent protest for Tuesday to challenge the daily Israeli invasions of the town.

Also in al-Issawiya, Israeli troops abducted Yousef Ra’ed Abdullah Hamed, 18, Hassan Tayseer Hammad, 18, and Rashad Mohammed.

In addition to the pre-dawn raids on Tuesday, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem decided Monday evening to extend the detention of the secretary general of the Fatah movement in al-Issawiya, Yasser Darwish.

The targeting and harassment of Palestinian public officials in East Jerusalem has become a commonplace and daily occurrence for Israeli troops. These Palestinian elected officials are generally accused of nothing more than holding a public office.

Since Israeli authorities are actively working to de-populate East Jerusalem of its Palestinian residents in order to further Israeli colonization of the city, the abductions of Palestinian public officials are carried out by Israeli police on a regular basis. The ‘crime’ of these officials is asserting Palestinian sovereignty over parts of the city that Israel is attempting to violently take over for colonization.

Also on Monday, Israeli forces abducted two mothers of Palestinian prisoners who had come to the prison of Megiddo to visit their children. The mothers of prisoners Wissam Hanoun and Mustafa al-Qunayri were taken into custody by Israeli troops after a scuffle at the entrance to the prison in which the two mothers were beaten.

One of them, the mother of Wissam Hanoun, was released later that night without charges. al-Qunayri’s mother remains in custody. The two mothers were apparently attempting to bring clothes to their sons in prison, since the Israeli authorities do not provide adequate clothing for the cold nights in the drafty Megiddo prison facility. But the prison officials tried to prevent them from bringing the clothes, and instead abducted the two women and took them into custody.

Israeli police kidnap three Palestinian teens from Issawiya

The Israeli occupation police on Monday evening kidnaped three Palestinian teenagers after physically assaulting them in Jerusalem.

According to local sources, the detained kids were beaten by police officers in Issawiya district before taking them in handcuffs to a police station in the holy city.

The kids were identified as Omar Mahmoud, Waseem Dari, and Ismail Muhaisen

For nearly five months, Israeli police forces have been raiding the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya on a daily basis, ransacking homes and arresting and assaulting Palestinians.

The Israeli campaign against Issawiya is aimed at oppressing and making life miserable for all who live there as part of efforts to push the native residents out of the holy city.

Israeli Troops Assault Schoolchildren in al-Issawiya; Abduct 3

Israeli troops invaded al-Issawiya, in the eastern part of Jerusalem, on Monday evening and attacked schoolchildren, abducting three boys.

According to local sources, on Monday evening, the Israeli forces stormed the village, deployed troops throughout the streets and began firing tear gas into the streets and residences.

The also grabbed 3 boys from Mheisen neighborhood in al-Issawiya town and put them into their armored military vehicles to take to an interrogation center.

Mohammed Abu al-Hummos, a member of the local organizing committee in al-Issawiya, told the Silwan Information Center that the Israeli forces took three boys: Omar Mahmoud, Ismail Mheisen, and Wasim Dari from the village, during the storming and deployment in the streets.

The Popular Committee of al-Issawiya called for a protest tomorrow against the campaign of abuse and attacks on the people of the village.

The abductions on Monday follow a series of assaults and abductions in recent days which culminated in a school strike being declared in the village on Saturday.

The Parents’ Committee of al-Issawiya confirmed that the school strike, which began on Saturday, will continue until a safe environment for the students and young children of al-Issawiya can be ensured.

The school strike began after the Israeli police invaded a school in al-Issawiya Saturday, assaulted the principal, and abducted schoolboy Saleh al-Tawil from inside his school.

The Israeli invasions of al-Issawiya have come to be an almost-daily occurrence, which almost always occur at the time when students are returning from school. This ends up with confrontations between stone-throwing teens and invading soldiers, because of the provocative measures taken by the Israeli military.

A video leaked in October showed Israeli police in al-Issawiya discussing how their daily invasions were a provocation to the residents.

According to the Middle East Monitor, in the video, Israeli officers are heard discussing the purpose of the operations in al-Issawiya, with one remarking: “This is really provoking them for nothing.” A second officer agrees. The first officer subsequently asks: “Why do this on purpose?” The second one replies: “Our policy is screwed up from the outset.”

The first officer then comments: “Let them live. You’re provoking them here for nothing.”

A few minutes later, the first officer addresses a third officer. “I have a question for you. Isn’t what we’re doing here causing more problems?” The third officer replies: “That’s the goal,” to which the first asked: “Causing more problems?” The second officer replies in the affirmative.

The video was shown during a hearing at Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court, where Issawiya resident Abdallah Mustafa was charged with throwing three stones at police on the day the video was filmed.

The prosecutor claimed that the police officers had “a slip of the tongue”, and the judge sentenced Mustafa to seven and a half months in prison.

Army Injures Several Schoolchildren In Hebron
Picture
Israeli soldiers injured, Sunday, several schoolchildren in the schools’ area, south of Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources in Hebron said several army jeeps invaded the Schools’ Area and fired gas bombs at the students who were walking to their educational facilities.

The sources added that many students suffered the effects of teargas inhalation and received the needed treated by medics.

The soldiers repeatedly invade the Schools’ area in southern Hebron, and frequently surround the schools or attack the students, which in some cases leads in protests and throwing stones at the army jeeps.

The students in that area are also frequently attacked and harassed by the illegal colonialist settlers.
