The Arab Follow-up Committee in the 1948 occupied territories called on the Muslim masses to intensify presence at the holy al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday.
Deputy chairman of the committee Jureis Matar urged the Palestinian national factions to take part in the projected vigils at al-Aqsa in protest at Israel’s mounting aggressions and Judaization schemes at such a holy place of worship.
He said the cause of al-Aqsa and Occupied Jerusalem is an existential battle, with deep political, religious, and national implications.
The sit-ins are set to kick off at 8 a.m. in response to the calls launched by Israeli fanatic organizations to step up desecration break-ins at Muslims’ al-Aqsa.
Meanwhile Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Amin Madani, is expected to head to New York Saturday to partake in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly set to kick off Monday.
The OIC is expected to hold an emergency meeting in New York to seek possible ways to bring Israel’s simmering aggressions on al-Aqsa and Occupied Jerusalem to a halt.
Palestine's flag will also fly at the United Nations headquarters for the first time after the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly approved a Palestinian-drafted resolution.

Palestinians are required more than ever to combine forces and back up resistance against the Israeli occupation, political bureau member of Hamas Khalil al-Hayya said Thursday.
Addressing the Muslim congregation during the Khutba (sermon) of Eid al-Adha in central Gaza, Hayya said the Palestinian people should join forces and stand up for the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
“We’re at a crossroads; either we work together in the face of the occupation or else we would forfeit our cause, our tenets, and our holy al-Aqsa.”
He slammed the Palestinian Authority (PA) for monopolizing the act of decision-making.
“A bench of oppressors has been tightening grip around our people’s neck not only in Gaza and the holy al-Aqsa but also everywhere around the globe,” he said.
“What on earth could be more oppressive than desecrating our holy al-Aqsa, attacking the peaceful Muslim sit-inners, killing our children, and abusing our freedom of worship?” Hayya wondered.
“Why has Gaza been denied the right to medicines, water, and electricity? What have been its flora and water ruined for?” he added.
Commenting on the prisoners’ issue, Hayya said their cause will remain at the heart of Hamas’ and Palestinians’ main concerns, vowing that the resistance factions will do whatever it takes to restore their freedom.

King Abdullah, allegedly fuming over Israel's 'provocative' demeanor on Temple Mount, has said relationship with Israel is at risk.
King Abdullah refuses to speak to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu until further notice, the London-based Arab newspaper Rai Al-Youm reported on Wednesday, citing sources in Amman.
The report said that the reason for the king's could shoulder is the recent violence on Temple Mount.
The London-based Arab newspaper Al Quds Al Arabi also reported that the Jordanian Foreign Ministry has rejected messages from Jerusalem, which it called "misleading."
Last year, during similar unrest in Jerusalem's Holy Basin, Jordan recalled its ambassador to Israel after expressing its grave dismay to the Israeli ambassador.
According to Rai Al-Youm, Jordan has decided to change tactics and now lobbies forcefully for a UN Security Council resolution rebuking Israel's conduct.
King Abdullah has stepped up its rhetoric recently, saying after a meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron that unless Israel changes course, its bilateral relations with Jordan will be damaged.
The message was echoed by the holder of the Palestinian portfolio in the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, who told the Hamas-affiliated newspaper Al-Risala that unless Israel changes its ways, they will take increased diplomatic steps against it. He didn't rule out expelling the Israeli ambassador.
Earlier this week, King Abdullah met with Arab-Israeli lawmakers and vehemently condemned Israel.
"Al-Aqsa Mosque is for Muslim worship only," he said, and rejected the idea of sharing it with other religions.
Israel's "provocative" policy of "Judaizing" Jerusalem's holy places will bear grave consequences for the entire region, he added.
Also on Thursday, a senior Jordanian official told the London-based Arab newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed that Jordan had stopped importing Israeli goods, chief among them potatoes, citing "defects" to the crops.

Preachers of the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia called for ceasing Israeli aggressions on Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
Addressing the Muslim congregations during Eid prayers in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Sheikh Khaled al-Ghamidi said: “What is going on in Occupied Jerusalem along with Israel’s sacrilegious schemes at al-Aqsa are heart-breaking.”
Meanwhile, addressing nearly one million worshipers in the Prophet’s Mosque in the Saudi city of Medina, Sheikh Abdulbari Al-Thubeiti said: “The al-Aqsa mosque is crying out because of the lack of security and ongoing violations of its sanctity.”
“Muslims should pool resources and mobilize support for al-Aqsa” he added.
He hailed the self-abnegation and steadfastness maintained by the Muslims sit-inners at al-Aqsa.
Since September 13, Israeli occupation officers and fanatic settlers have been storming Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque and attacking the peaceful Muslim congregation and sit-inners in an attempt to hold sway of the Mosque and divide it spatio-temporally.

Silwanic and Wadi Hilweh Information Center-Silwan would like to wish all Palestinians and all those celebrating Al-Adha Eid a happy and safe holiday and hopes all their wishes will be achieved with the liberation of Jerusalem.

Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers attended on Thursday morning the Eid prayers at al-Aqsa mosque in occupied Jerusalem marking the first day of Eid al-Adha.
Israeli police imposed since the early morning hours tight restrictions on Muslim worshipers’ entry to al-Aqsa compound, depriving hundreds of thousands from West Bank and Gaza from reaching occupied Jerusalem to offer Eid prayers.
Only Men over the age of 45 and women over the age of 30 were allowed to have access into the mosque. However, tens of thousands of worshipers managed to attend the prayers despite Israeli tough security measures.
The old city’s alleyways were congested with worshippers heading to Islam’s third holiest site to celebrate the Eid, while areas around the Mosque witnessed an intensive Israeli forces presence since the early morning hours.

As Muslims around the world have celebrated the holy Eid al-Adha with the deepest delight one can ever feel, Palestinian prisoners’ families have marked it with a mixture of joy and melancholy as their own and only children have been languishing in the Israeli occupation jails.
“We’re enduring twice the pain endured by our children in the Israeli lock-ups” mother of prisoner Ahmad Khalil, held in the Negev lock-up, said.
“The joy sparked by such holy occasions as the Eid is taken away by the Israelis’ crimes against our children, as they have lately done against Dhia and Hadeel,” she added.
“How can we be in high spirits while knowing that our imprisoned sons and daughters are overwhelmed with sorrow,” the mother further stated.
Ex-prisoner Salah Salman said: “Hundreds of children and women are among at least 7,000 detainees marking the Eid behind Israeli bars.”
Meanwhile, wife of prisoner Abbas al-Sayed from Tulkarem said: “This the way we, Palestinians have been celebrating the Eid every year; troubles have been overwhelming us from all directions.”
The PIC journalist quoted the young Daughter of prisoner Walid Khalid, held for 20 years in Israeli jails as stating: “A wound is inflicted on my heart as my dear father is far away from me. My father used to be the one who buys new clothes for me, offers me gifts, and holds me in his arms.”
Mother of prisoner Ali al-Masri from Nablus appealed to the Palestinian resistance to strike new prisoner-swap deals to unshackle Palestinian detainees.
“My son is among thousands of detainees suffering behind Israeli bars” she said, wondering: “For God’s sake how can anyone on earth have fun while young girls and boys are tortured in Israeli jails.”

Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh warned during Hajj sermon on the day of Arafah against the Israeli schemes to divide al-Aqsa mosque.
He pointed to the Israeli tight restrictions on Muslim worshipers’ access into al-Aqsa mosque compound, while allowing settlers’ entry.
Israeli occupation is taking advantage of Muslims’ preoccupation with their internal conflicts to step up its Judaization plans in al-Aqsa mosque, Sheikh Abdul Aziz said.
Muslims’ Day of Arafah is considered the most sacred day of Hajj during which pilgrims head to Mount Arafah in Makkah and stay there until sunset.

Dozens of Israeli settlers wearing priestly garments stormed Wednesday morning al-Aqsa Mosque to celebrate what they call the day of Atonement, QPress said.
QPress center pointed out that Israeli authorities opened al-Magaribeh Gate for settlers’ access on the Day of Atonement that coincides with Muslims’ Day of Arafah which is considered the most sacred day of Hajj during which pilgrims head to Mount Arafah in Makkah and stay there until sunset.
The Palestinian Awqaf (Endowment) Authority has earlier demanded that no settlers be allowed into al-Aqsa on the Day of Arafah; however, Israeli forces denied Muslim worshipers’ the right to enter into their holy shrine while allowing the settlers in.
Earlier Tuesday, Israeli forces imposed tight restrictions in occupied Jerusalem and its Old City on the eve of the Day of Atonement where they deployed in large numbers across the city and at the entrances to al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli restrictions severely restricted Palestinian access to the Mosque compound.
Israel deployed thousands of its police forces throughout the city and shut it off from the West Bank, with checkpoints closed for Jewish holidays.

Israeli incitement and violations against Muslims in Occupied Jerusalem and the holy al-Aqsa Mosque have dramatically increased in 2015, concludes a new Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor report.
The report, titled “Fire under the Ashes: Provoking Muslims in Jerusalem,” warns that Israeli incitement against Muslims could trigger a conflict that would likely result in disastrous consequences.
According to the report, the Israeli occupation authorities deported 227 Palestinians and detained 225 others during January-August. In addition, 7,200 settlers accompanied by the Israeli occupation soldiers stormed the Al-Aqsa compound during the same period.
“It is clear that the number of deportations increases shortly before Jewish holidays,” says Ihsan Adel, Euro-Med Monitor legal adviser. “For example, Israeli police issued 15 deportation orders on a single night a few days before the Jewish holiday of Passover and on the eve of the ‘Destruction of the Temple’ in July.”
Of the 227 deportation orders issued since the beginning of 2015, 119 (52.6 percent) involved men, 83 (36.4 percent) were against women and 25 (11 percent) targeted children under the age of 18, the report found out.
In addition, Euro-Med documented the detention of 225 Palestinians from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, including 118 men, 95 women, and 44 children.
The Euro-Med field team in Occupied Jerusalem found that the occupation soldiers often use violence while detaining Palestinians. For example, on May 31, police severely beat an elderly man carrying an Israeli identity card. In 2014, nearly 11,000 Jews stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the year (a number that is 28 percent higher than during 2013, and almost double that of 2012).
This year, April witnessed the highest percentage of violations; 1,412 settlers accompanied by 93 occupation officers and soldiers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Among the provocative acts documented by Euro-Med researchers against Palestinians in Occupied Jerusalem were performances of Talmudic prayers near Muslim worshippers, beating, throwing rubbish, cursing, death threats and preventing worshippers from reaching the mosque.
The Euro-Med Monitor called on the Israeli occupation authorities to cease such provocative practices and to take the steps necessary to put an end to human rights violations against Arabs and Muslims in Occupied Jerusalem.
The group further pushed the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO) and the international community to pressure Israel to adhere to international law, including the Geneva Conventions.
The organization also called on the UN Security Council to use all means possible to end the Israeli illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories.

173 Israeli settlers stormed on Tuesday morning al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli-controlled Magaribeh gate under heavy police protection.
During the break-in, the settlers carried out provocative tours in the Mosque compound to celebrate their Day of Atonement. Palestinian worshipers, for their part, chanted slogans in protest against the settlers’ provocative presence in the holy shrine.
Two of the worshipers were arrested for protesting against the settlers’ break-in. They were later released and banned access into the Mosque.
Men under the age of 40 and women of all ages were prevented entry into the Mosque, while settlers were allowed in.
Last week, the Mosque compound was rocked by three days of fierce clashes during the Jewish New Year holiday, with Israeli forces storming the compound to clear the way for Jewish groups celebrating the religious holiday.
Tensions are expected to remain high this week as settler groups threatened to step up their break-ins into the holy shrine to mark their Jewish holidays.
