Al-Khatib: Israeli flag shall never be raised over al-Aqsa
Picture
Director of the Jerusalem Endowment and al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, said the calls launched by Israel’s alleged temple mount organizations to raise the Israeli flag over al-Aqsa Mosque shall never see the day.

He said such sacrilegious schemes against al-Aqsa aim at fueling Muslims’ anger and fanning the flames of the simmering tension across Occupied Jerusalem.

“Any attempt to harm al-Aqsa would herald a religious war in the entire region, for the Mosque is part and parcel of Muslims’ faith,” he added.

“Only Muslims have sovereignty over al-Aqsa. The Israeli flag shall be raised nowhere in the 144 dunums covered by al-Aqsa Mosque,” he further vowed.

He called on the Israeli occupation authorities to take serious action against such calls launched by fanatic Israelis.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Endowment department denounced the launch of a drone equipped with a camera over Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Khatib warned of the serious repercussions of such a practice by the Israeli settlers, holding the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for such a violation, which is the fifth of its kind during the past couple of years.

Al-Khatib said the occupation police claimed they arrested the settlers who launched the drone but they gave no further details on the matter.

He warned of the possibility of installing dangerous devices on such drones and slamming them into al-Aqsa.

Al-Khatib added that the Endowment Department sent a report to the Jordanian Endowment Department due to the serious nature of the practice.

Calls for raising the Israeli flag over al-Aqsa Mosque
Picture
Israel's Students for Temple Mount Organization called on the newly-appointed police inspector general Roni Alsheikh to raise the Israeli flag over a police station at Muslims' the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

The request also comes at a time when an Israeli MK from the Jewish Home party suggested a bill to allow Israelis to pray at al-Aqsa Mosque.

Students for the Temple Organization sent a letter to the Israeli police inspector general voicing hope to see the Israeli flag flying over al-Aqsa.

According to the Israeli law, the Israeli flag must be raised over all government institutions.

The police said the request is being considered and an answer would be soon sent to the concerned parties.

Meanwhile, five MKs signed a bill calling for allowing Jews to pray at al-Aqsa Mosque.

Prominent Islamic figure in 1948 occupied Palestine and deputy head of the Israeli-outlawed Islamic Movement, Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib, warned of such Judaization bids, saying al-Aqsa Mosque will forever remain for Muslims' only.

Israeli drone equipped with camera hovering over al-Aqsa
Picture
Two Israeli settlers on Wednesday evening launched a drone equipped with a camera over Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to the Director of al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani, the plane kept hovering over Bab al-Rahma and the walls of al-Aqsa before it was detected by the supervision staff.

Al-Kiswani warned of the serious repercussions of such a practice, which is the fourth of its kind during the last couple of years.

Al-Kiswani held the Israeli occupation police responsible for such practices by the Israeli settlers.

“It has become easy (for the settlers) to install explosive devices into planes and slam them into the holy al-Aqsa,” Sheikh al-Kiswani added.

New groups of settlers break into al-Aqsa
Picture
Groups of Israeli settlers stormed Wednesday morning al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli-controlled al-Magharibeh gate under heavy Israeli police protection.

The settlers tried to perform Talmudic rituals in the compound; however, Palestinian worshipers prevented them from doing so.

At the entrances to the Mosque, Israeli police tightened restrictions on Palestinians’ access into the Mosque, confiscating the identity cards of dozens of worshipers before allowing them to enter the holy site.

Israeli settlers usually break into the Mosque at the early morning hours in total provocation to the Muslim worshipers.

Israeli troops force Palestinians out of their shops in O. Jerusalem
Picture
The Israeli occupation soldiers on Tuesday morning forced Palestinian shopkeepers out of their stores in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.

Palestinian academic Ahmad Sub Laban said the occupation troops forcibly evacuated commercial shops owned by Hussein al-Qaissi.

He said 71 illegal settlement outposts have been established by the Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) across Jerusalem’s Old City.

“Today the IOA are threatening to force 15 families out of their own homes as part of the mass-deportation policies perpetrated against the Palestinian locals in favor of illegal settlement,” the activist added.

Earlier, some few days ago, the Israeli soldiers ordered four Palestinian families living in Occupied Jerusalem to vacate their homes in favor of Israeli settlement organizations that claimed ownership of the targeted buildings.

Official documents, however, have been corroborating the fact that the families had set up roots in the area before the occupation of Jerusalem.

Jewish settlers defile Aqsa Mosque's courtyards
Picture
A large number of Jewish settlers on Tuesday morning desecrated the Aqsa Mosque's courtyards under police protection, which provoked angry reactions from Muslim worshipers there.

Different Palestinian men and women chanted religious slogans in protest at the presence of settlers on the plateaus of their Islamic holy site.

Meanwhile, several women, whose entry to the Mosque is banned by the Israeli police, rallied at the Mosque's gates and recited verses of the holy Qur'an.

The Israeli police deliberately allow Jewish settlers to tour the Islamic holy shrine on a daily basis during morning hours, especially at seven o'clock (local time).

In a related context, Sheikh Omar al-Kaswani, director of the Aqsa Mosque, strongly denounced the provocative practices of Jewish settlers at the Mosque and the police protection provided for their daily violation of its Islamic sanctity.

In televised remarks to Jordan satellite channel on Monday, Sheikh Kaswani stressed the need for action to put an end to the settlers' provocative acts and break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque.

IOA impedes implementation of 21 projects at al-Aqsa Mosque
Picture
The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has impeded the implementation of over 21 projects to reconstruct the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem Endowment Department reported.

A member of the Islamic Endowment personnel in Occupied Jerusalem said the IOA has been blocking the entry of reconstruction materials and impeding underway projects to renovate the al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Endowment department filed official complaints over such illegitimate intervention in the affairs of al-Aqsa, saying every single inch of the 144 dunums covered by such a sacred place of worship is for Muslims only.

The official said the IOA has turned blind eyes and deaf ears to such protests and, instead, propped up settler break-ins at the al-Aqsa in an attempt to hold sway over it and divide it, both spatially and temporally.

Predawn sweep by Israeli troops rock West Bank
Picture
A predawn sweep by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rocked the northern occupied West Bank on Tuesday, culminating in a series of abrupt home break-ins.

Sources based in the northern West Bank city of Nablus said the IOF rolled into Madama village, to the south, and Salem village, to the east, and carried out arbitrary combing operations in both villages.

The IOF further tightened military grip in the vicinity of the Hawara military checkpoint in an attempt to quell anti-occupation demonstrations in the area.

Eyewitnesses said the occupation troops stormed Palestinian commercial shops in the Jerusalem Street and seized several surveillance cameras.

The IOF soldiers further broke into Palestinian civilian homes in Madama village and wreaked havoc on the buildings and confiscated several laptops and mobile phones.

The assault culminated in the abduction of youngster Ahmad Nassar from his family home in Madama. Shortly after, Ahmad was dragged by the IOF to an unidentified detention center.

The IOF further ravaged Palestinian civilian homes in Salem village.

Meanwhile, a heavily-armed Israeli patrol rolled into Salfit’s northern town of Kafl Hares to provide a security shield for the hordes of Israeli fanatic settlers who stormed the area overnight and vandalized Islamic holy sites.

The IOF also denied Palestinian citizens access out of and into the area, sealing it off with makeshift roadblocks and iron barriers.

The occupation soldiers, escorted by sniffer dogs, broke into Palestinian family homes and terrorized children, at the same time as zealous Israelis were shouting racist slogans calling for death to Muslims.

Sheikh Sabri calls for intensifying Palestinian presence in al-Aqsa
Picture
Head of the Islamic Supreme Council Sheikh Ikrema Sabri called on Sunday for intensifying Palestinian presence in al-Aqsa Mosque next Wednesday to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him.

"We must take advantage of this occasion to intensify our presence in the Mosque and to celebrate the Mawlid (the birthday of the Islamic prophet Muhammad which is celebrated on the 12th day of Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar) by narrating stories of the life of Prophet Mohammed to our children", he said.

He pointed out that Prophet Mohammed was subjected last year to an offensive and incitement campaign under freedom of expression umbrella in total provocation to Muslims’ feelings around the world.

Sheikh Sabri called on the Arab and Islamic countries to stand united in defense of al-Aqsa Mosque in light of the escalated Judaization campaigns.

29 Israeli settlers break into al-Aqsa

A group of Israeli settlers stormed Monday morning al-Aqsa Mosque via the Israel-controlled al-Magharibeh gate amid Israeli police protection.

Quds Press affirmed that 29 Israeli settlers, including 20 students, broke into al-Aqsa Mosque amid heavy protection by Israeli police forces.

Palestinian worshipers shouted Takbeer in protest against the Israeli provocative break-ins into the Islamic holy shrine.

Israeli extremist organizations have earlier called via social media networks for mass break-ins into the Mosque.

Since the beginning of December, 728 Israelis stormed the Mosque in total provocation to Muslims’ feelings.

Fanatic Israelis storm Muslims’ al-Aqsa Mosque
Picture
Hordes of Israeli fanatic settlers stormed on Sunday morning the plazas of Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, amid tight security measures.

Eyewitnesses said 26 Israeli settlers, escorted by Israeli soldiers, broke into the al-Aqsa Mosque via the Maghareba Gate.

The peaceful Muslim sit-inners and worshipers kept chanting “Allah is the Greatest” in response to the sacrilegious break-in.

The Israeli occupation policemen have reportedly cracked down on the Muslim women, seizing their IDs at the main entrances to the Mosque.

Al-Aqsa preacher condemns Israeli deportation policy
Picture
Preacher of al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ikrema Sabri denounced during Friday sermon Israel’s deportation policy against Jerusalemites.

"Israel is the only state in the world that prevents people’s access to their worship places," Sheikh Sabri said.

“We strongly condemn Israel’s deportation policy that is carried out increasingly against Jerusalemite female worshipers.”

Israel’s deportation policy is an unfair policy that prevents people’s right of worship and restricts their freedom of movement and expression, he continued.

He pointed out that al-Aqsa Mosque is in a real danger as it is still targeted by Israeli Judaization schemes.

According to him, the ongoing tension would only stop when Israeli settlers’ break-ins into the holy shrine were stopped.

"Al-Aqsa will be in danger as long as al-Magaribeh Gate is controlled by Israeli authorities," Sheikh Sabri stressed.

Sheikh Sabri was summoned two days ago for investigation by Israeli authorities for allegedly inciting violence.

Jordan slams Israel's persistent violations against Aqsa Mosque
Picture
The Jordanian government has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) for persisting in allowing Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque, describing such behavior as a flagrant violation and a provocative act.

In press remarks on Thursday, minister of media affairs and spokesman for the government Mohamed al-Momani demanded the IOA to refrain from facilitating and providing security protection for the settlers' break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque.

Momani deplored the police in Occupied Jerusalem for allowing recently groups of settlers to tour the Mosque's courtyards barefoot as part of Talmudic rituals, stressing that such incident was a serious indicator of Israel's persistence in escalating its violations against the Islamic holy site.

He also condemned the occupation police for interfering in the responsibilities of the Hashemite reconstruction committee at the Mosque and their attempt to prevent it from carrying out repairs to its water system on Thursday morning.

The government spokesman underlined that Israel's aggressive practices against the Aqsa Mosque constitute a clear violation of its peace treaty with Jordan and the international law.

He added that Israel's ongoing violations at the Mosque clearly proved its attempt to impose a new fait accompli at the Islamic holy site as it had done in several areas of east Jerusalem.

The spokesman affirmed that Jordan would continue to protect the Aqsa Mosque and all Islamic and Christian holy sites in the occupied territories and use all diplomatic and legal tools to stand firmly against Israel's violations.

Sheikh Sabri summoned for investigation
Picture
Israeli police summoned on Wednesday head of the Islamic Supreme Council in occupied Jerusalem Sheikh Ikrema Sabri for investigation into alleged incitement charges.

During the investigation, Sheikh Sabri was questioned about the ongoing tensions in al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli settlers’ frequent break-ins into the Mosque are the main cause for the deteriorated situation, he replied.

Sheikh Sabri also denied Israeli charges of inciting violence during the Friday sermon at al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing, at the same time, that the holy shrine is a pure Islamic property.

Israel approves plan to expand Gilo settlement
Picture
The Israeli district planning and building committee in Occupied Jerusalem approved a plan on Wednesday to build 891 housing units on the southern side of the holy city.

Israel's channel 7 said that the new housing units would be built in Gilo settlement, southeast of Jerusalem, affirming that deliberations on the plan had been frozen ahead of the last visit of Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu to Washington.

Deputy minister of housing Mickey Levy has blessed the decision to build these units in what he described as Israel's eternal capital and called for continuing construction activities in the city.

Fanatic Israelis vandalize Muslims’ al-Aqsa Mosque
Picture
Hordes of Israeli fanatics, escorted by policemen,  stormed, on early Thursday morning, the plazas of Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

The break-in was carried out via the Maghareba Gate under heavy shield by Israeli special troops and rapid intervention forces.

The Israeli soldiers have also come down heavily on the young Muslim worshipers, seizing their IDs at the gates of al-Aqsa and subjecting them to exhaustive inspection.

The peaceful Muslim worshipers and learners kept chanting “Allah is the Greatest” in protest at the desecrating break-in.

A group of Muslim women maintained vigil outside of al-Aqsa after they were banned from entering the Mosque to perform their religious prayers.

Over recent weeks, Israeli fanatics and soldiers have stepped up sacrilegious assaults and break-ins at the al-Aqsa Mosque, sparking further tension across the occupied Palestinian territories.
