Settlers, intelligence agents storm the Aqsa Mosque
Picture
Groups of Jewish settlers along with members of Israeli intelligence apparatus on Tuesday morning stormed the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque from the Magharebah gate under the protection of Israeli police and Special Forces.

Some of the settlers, who roamed the courtyards of the Muslim's holy site, attempted to perform Talmudic rituals at the Mosque. However, Muslim sit-inners along with worshipers confronted settlers by chanting “Allah the Greatest”.

In the same context, the Jerusalemite women whose names are listed in the ban of entry list were barred from entering the Mosque by Israeli police. They got gathered in a sit-in at the Aqsa gates and recited verses of the Holy Quran.

The Jewish settlers deliberately storm the Aqsa Mosque daily at seven o'clock in the morning so that they can take advantage of the small numbers of Muslim sit-inners at that early time.

Israeli Green Line project to cut O. J’lem from limb to limb
Picture
The Israeli local committee for planning and construction announced its intent to expand Jerusalem’s light rail line, in a move dubbed by observers as an attempt to dismember the holy city.

Map expert Khalil Tafakji told a PIC journalist that the so-called Green Line project will serve as a connective tissue to the surrounding illegal Israeli settlements.

Tafakji added that the rail line starts from student halls in Jabal al-Masharif and crosses several crossroads and neighborhoods, including Sheikh Jarah, Central Jerusalem, the Hebrew University and Beit Safafa. The new line reaches as far as the southern outskirts of Occupied Jerusalem.

The expert said the project, which falls in line with the second phase of the light rail project, was published by an unknown newspaper on 31 December, 2015 and aims at cutting the holy city from limb to limb.

Settlers storm the Aqsa Mosque amid confrontation by sit-inners
Picture
Groups of Jewish settlers on Monday stormed the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli police and Special Forces.

Eyewitnesses said that about 26 settlers, in three groups, broke into the Aqsa Mosque from the Magharebah gate. The settlers attempted to perform Talmudic rituals at the Mosque, but Muslim sit-inners along with the guards confronted settlers by chanting “Allah the Greatest”.

In the same context, a sit-in has been planned to be organized on Tuesday at the Lions gate in protest against the continuation of the Israeli policy of deporting Jerusalemites outside of the Muslims' holy site.

Israeli fanatics storm Joseph Tomb, trigger clashes
Picture
Hordes of Israeli fanatics at dawn Monday broke into Joseph’s Tomb, in southern Nablus city, sparking violent clashes with the native Palestinian inhabitants.

Eyewitnesses said hundreds of Israeli extremist settlers, escorted by armed troops, broke into Joseph’s Tomb in an attempt to perform a series of sacrilegious rituals at what they believe to be the tomb of a prophet.

Dozens of Israeli army jeeps escorted the vehicles and buses that carried the Israeli settlers from the Orata military checkpoint.

The fanatic settlers performed provocative rituals and shouted racist slogans.

Violent clashes burst out in the vicinity of Joseph’s Tomb following the break-in. Several Palestinians choked on tear gas canisters that were randomly discharged by the Israeli occupation soldiers.

Jewish settlers desecrate the Aqsa Mosque
Picture
Jewish settlers entered the Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning and roamed its courtyards under tight Israeli police security measures.

Meanwhile, the Israeli police are permanently blocking the entry of some Muslim female worshipers, who used to maintain vigil inside the Mosque, despite the absence of an official decision to this effect.

Israeli policemen at the gates of the holy site withhold the IDs of Muslims worshipers who enter the site and return them only at their departure.

Thousands of Palestinians perform Friday prayers at Aqsa Mosque
Picture
Thousands of Palestinians were able to perform the Friday prayers at the Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli security measures and restrictions.

According to different media sources, more than 17,000 Palestinian worshipers listened to the khutba (sermon) and prayed at the Aqsa Mosque on Friday afternoon.

Among them, there were 200 Palestinians from Gaza, who were allowed to travel through Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing to Occupied Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police intensified their presence in and around the Old City of Jerusalem and at the gates of the Aqsa Mosque.

Sheikh Yousuf Abu Senaina, who delivered the Friday khutba, called for defending and protecting all Palestinian holy sites, especially the Aqsa Mosque, against Israeli violations and attacks.

He also urged the Palestinian people to continue their struggle against the occupation in order to liberate Jerusalem and all occupied areas.

Settlers storm al-Aqsa Mosque
Picture
A score of Jewish settlers stormed on Thursday the plazas of al-Aqsa Mosque from the Magharebah gate under tightened security measures by Israeli forces.

Sources in Jerusalem revealed that 13 settlers escorted by Israeli police and Special Forces broke into the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque. Meanwhile, the Jerusalemite sit-inners confronted settlers by chanting “Allah the Greatest”.

Israeli police are still banning Jerusalemite women from accessing the Muslims’ holy site as well as confiscating the IDs of some of the worshipers prior to their entry into the Mosque.

Israeli police arrest Palestinian for chanting “Allah the Greatest”
Picture
Tension ran high at the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque Wednesday morning after a group of Jewish settlers performed Talmudic rituals at the holy site under protection of Israeli forces.

Eyewitnesses revealed that Muslim worshipers confronted settlers by chanting “Allah the Greatest”. Meanwhile, an Israeli officer arrested the Palestinian young man Wael al-Rajabi. He was taken to the police station of al-Silsila gate in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.

A female settler broke into the Aqsa Mosque three times in the morning, while 24 other settlers stormed the plazas of the Muslims’ holy site from the Magharebah gate under tightened security measures, eyewitnesses reported.

Israeli policemen stationed at the various gates of the Aqsa Mosque continued confiscating the IDs of Palestinian youths and women prior to their entry to the Mosque. The policemen also continued barring Jerusalemite women who have been banned of accessing the Mosque for four months.

Settlers’ attempts to perform Talmudic rituals at the Aqsa Mosque have recently escalated in light of the increase of Israeli arrests and attacks on Muslim worshipers and guards of the Aqsa Mosque for confronting the repeated settlers’ incursions into the Mosque.

Israeli Forces Demolish Negev Mosque
Picture
The Israeli military, on Wednesday, demolished a mosque in the unrecognized Palestinian Bedouin village of Rakhama in the Negev in southern Israel, Talal Abu Arar, a Palestinian member of the Israeli Knesset, or parliament, stated.

Abu Arar said he attempted to prevent the demolition, but had been unable to convince the Israeli authorities. "(They) do not spare any effort in exerting pressure on the Arab population of the Negev in their attempt to empty the land of Arabs and to displace them," he said.

"The demolition of the mosque today, and mosque demolitions in the Negev in general, is a declaration of war on Islam, in line with the religious war Israel has been igniting in the region," Abu Arar said.

The Palestinian MK slammed Israel for not providing "any services to Palestinians in unrecognized villages." Despite collecting taxes from Palestinians, he said that "Israeli authorities demolish their homes and close the doors of livelihoods in their faces."

Rakhama is one of around 40 Bedouin villages in the Negev that Israel refuses to recognize -- together holding nearly 90,000 people.

Israeli authorities last month demolished structures in the Bedouin village of al-Araqib, also in the Negev, for the 92nd time.

Israeli policy regarding Palestinian Bedouins -- who live under the constant threat of displacement -- has been slammed by Human Rights Watch in the past as completely disregarding international law, which forbids discriminatory evictions.

IOA prevents the Athan over 600 times at the Ibrahimi Mosque in 2015
Picture
The Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) prevented the Athan (call for prayer) for 600 times in al-Haram al-Ibrahimi Mosque during 2015.

The manager of the endowment department in al-Khalil Ismail Abu al-Halawah told Quds Press on Monday that the IOA prevents the Athan on Saturdays for four prayer times from the Fajr (dawn) prayer to Maghreb (sun set) prayer. The Athan for Maghreb prayers is prevented all over the year under the pretext of annoying settlers, he pointed out.

The Awqaf manager Abu al-Halawah warned of the Israeli practices against al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the current year as the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently threatened to stop "the noise" in the Old City of al-Khalil, referring to the Athan sound.

The Awqaf condemns the excavations under the Buraq square
Picture
The department of Awqaf (endowment) affairs and Islamic holy places in Occupied Jerusalem condemned the Israeli excavation works in the vicinity of the Buraq square at the Aqsa Mosque.

The department said, in a statement on Monday, that excavation works have been taking place in the vicinity of the Buraq square, which belongs to the Awqaf, as well as on the wooden bridge, over the square, which leads to the Magharebah gate.

The statement explained that this area and its surroundings constitute a main part of the Aqsa Mosque and is owned by the endowment department. It stressed that as an Awqaf property; only the Awqaf department may conduct any works at that holy place based on the Jordanian project submitted to the UNESCO.

Israeli settlers break into al-Aqsa Mosque
Picture
A group of Israeli settlers stormed Monday morning al-Aqsa Mosque via the Israeli-controlled al-Magharibeh Gate under heavy Israeli police protection.

According to the PIC reporter, a number of Israeli settlers tried this morning to perform Talmudic rituals in total provocation to the Palestinian worshipers who started shouting Takbeer in protest against the Israeli presence in the Islamic holy shrine.

A number of Jerusalemite women continued their protests at the entrance to the compound in rejection to the Israeli ban on their entry.

For Muslims, al-Aqsa Mosque represents the third holiest site. Jews, for their part, refer to the area as the "Temple Mount," claiming it was the site of two Jewish temples in ancient times.

Israel occupied East Jerusalem during the 1967 Middle East War. It later annexed the city in 1980, claiming it as the capital of the self-proclaimed Jewish state – a move never recognized by the international community.

Settlers storm the Aqsa, Special Forces take photos of sit-inners

A group of Jewish settlers Monday morning stormed the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem. Meanwhile, Israeli intelligence members disguised in plain clothes took photos of sit-inners.

Quds Press revealed that 14 settlers broke into the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque from the Magharebah gate under tight security measures by Israeli police. They toured the plazas amid chanting of Palestinian worshipers and sit-inners who had been present at the holy site since the early morning despite the chilly cold.

Israeli intelligence forces disguised in plain clothes, roamed the courtyards of the Aqsa compound and took photos of Muslim sit-inners, a guard of the Mosque revealed.

Israeli vandals storm Muslims’ al-Aqsa Mosque
Picture
A horde of Israeli extremist settlers stormed on early Sunday morning the plazas of Muslims’ the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, in Occupied Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said Israeli settler groups, escorted by army officers, broke into the al-Aqsa Mosque and vandalized its yards.

Israeli sacrilegious assaults on the al-Aqsa—the third holiest site in Islam—have fanned the flames of the simmering tension rocking the occupied Palestinian territories.

Such assaults, launched on a quasi-daily basis, aim at dividing the Mosque both spatially and temporally between Muslims and Jews, in a move that violates the typically Islamic idiosyncrasy of such a sacred place of worship.

14 thousand Israelis broke into al-Aqsa during 2015
Picture
A statistical report prepared by the media center for Jerusalem and al-Aqsa affairs showed that about 14,064 Israeli settlers and intelligence and security officials carried out desecration break-ins at al-Aqsa Mosque during 2015.

Most of the intruders were settlers and members of Jewish groups and organizations which champion accelerating the construction of the alleged temple, while there was a decrease in the number of incursions by Israeli ministers and political figures.

Statistics showed that about 12,256 settlers stormed al-Aqsa, while 1,056 members of the Israeli intelligence stormed al-Aqsa Mosque and the roofed buildings within it, 445 soldiers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in their military uniform under the pretext of the so-called "military guidance and exploration tours" program, while about 307 of the Israelis who stormed the Mosque were officers or other staff of the so-called "Israel Antiquities Authority".

The study showed that the incursions often increase during the seasons of the Jewish holidays, where the month of September had witnessed the largest number of intruders (1,670), the year's second largest number of intruders was recorded in April (1,398); those two months coincide with the spring and summer Jewish holiday seasons.

The study concluded that the total number of the Israeli intruders this year significantly approximates the number of intruders the year before; where the total number of intruders reached about 14,952 in 2014.

While the statistics showed that the total numbers of intruders in the two years; 2014 and 2015, were close, but what distinguished 2015 was that the number of incursions by ministers of the Israeli government had decreased, where the Israeli Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel broke into al-Aqsa Mosque twice, the first was on 26-7 in "Tisha B'Av", the other was on 13-9 during the Jewish New Year holiday.

Thousands of Palestinians observe Friday prayers at Aqsa Mosque
Picture
About 27,000 Muslim worshipers performed the Friday prayers at the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem despite rainy and cold weather conditions and Israeli movement restrictions.

In his Friday Khutba (sermon), Sheikh Mohamed Hussein, Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, strongly denounced the Israeli intent to criminalize Takbir chants inside the Aqsa Mosque compound.

"Their rudeness has reached the point of trying to prevent Takbir within the precincts of the Aqsa Mosque, but Allah is greater than all unjust people," Sheikh Hussein stated.

"Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest) is our slogan that rises from the vast courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque, its minarets and all mosques of Palestine," the preacher added.

He also condemned the Jewish rabbis for inciting their followers to target the Palestinians in their occupied lands, and hailed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli violations and crimes.

He also applauded the massive presence of Muslims at the Aqsa Mosque and described it as a reflection of the Palestinians' adherence to their Islamic faith, their land and holy shrines.
