188 settlers defile Aqsa Mosque
Picture
The Israeli occupation police on Thursday morning allowed anew dozens of Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards.

According to Quds Press, about 188 settlers, including 95 students, entered the Mosque through al-Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards.

The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Israeli occupation police close al-Maghariba Gate, which is used by Jews to enter the Mosque, at 10:30 am after the settlers complete their morning tours at the holy site. Later in the afternoon, the same gate is reopened for evening tours by settlers.

During the presence of settlers inside the Mosque compound, entry restrictions are imposed on Muslim worshipers at the entrances leading to the Mosque and their IDs are seized until they leave the holy place.

IOF closes Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslims for two days
Picture
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday closed the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshipers for two days at the pretext of securing the place for Jewish settlers during their celebrations at the holy site.

Sheikh Mohamed Hussein, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, has strongly denounced the Israeli measure and described it as “aggression and a terrible crime.”

Sheikh Hussein said that all the heavenly religious forbid any violation of the sanctity of other holy sites and affirm their inviolability, stressing that the Ibrahimi Mosque is an Islamic holy place that must not be defiled by Jewish settlers for rituals.

Israel's Temple Mount Group has called on Jewish settlers to flock to al-Aqsa Mosque this week to mark the Jewish New Year.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and several youth societies have called on the Palestinian citizens to intensify their presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque and defend it against settler violations.

Israel closes Ibrahimi Mosque for Jewish holidays
Picture
The Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday announced their intention to close the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshipers on Monday and Tuesday over Jewish holidays.

Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Husam Abu al-Rob denounced the Israeli move and described it as "provocative".

Abu al-Rob said that the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque falls in line with Israel's plan to completely take over the Islamic site.

He called on the Palestinian citizens in al-Khalil to intensify their presence in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the coming days to protect it against Israeli conspiracies.

A least 200 Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards on Sunday morning under tight police protection, amid expectations of more settlers’ break-ins.

According to local sources, the settlers entered the Mosque in groups and carried out provocative tours while receiving explanations about the alleged temple mount and attempting to perform rituals.

Israeli agriculture minister Uri Ariel was among the settlers and gave an incendiary speech calling for building the temple mount in place of the Aqsa Mosque. video video

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police intensified their security measures at the Aqsa Mosque, imposing entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers and preventing them from staying in certain areas for the protection of the settlers.

Extremist Jewish groups recently incited its followers to participate in mass break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque to mark the Jewish new year.

Right-wing Knesset members, ministers and top government officials are expected to participate in the settlers’ mass break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque nowadays.

Israel Imposes Siege On West Bank And Gaza To Celebrate Nosh Hashanah

The Israeli occupation authorities have imposed a strict siege on the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip, starting on Saturday night at midnight and ending on Tuesday night at midnight, during the celebration of the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashana).

All of the border crossings leading to the West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip have been closed, while the Israeli army has also imposed many roadblocks across the occupied West Bank.

In addition, the Israeli police deployed more units in occupied Jerusalem, especially on roads and alleys leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing dozens of Palestinians, especially young men, from entering the holy site.

The restrictions on entry into Al-Aqsa include Palestinian men with Israeli citizenship, while a few women were allowed into the holy site after the soldiers and the police held their ID cards as a precondition of entry, to collect them once they leave.

It is worth mentioning that the severe restrictions on the entry into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surrounding areas are taking place Israeli paramilitary settler leaders and Israeli officials are calling for massive provocative tours into the holy site, to celebrate the Jewish new year.

On Sunday morning, at least 120 illegal Israeli colonial settlers invaded the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the al-Magharba Gate, while the soldiers removed the Muslim worshipers to facilitate these provocative tours. The invasion was led by Israeli Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel and Likud Member of Knesset Yehuda Glick.

It is worth mentioning that fanatic groups in Israel have created a greeting card to be used in celebrating Rosh Hashana showing an image of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound completely vacant of any mosque or Islamic structure, with the Mosque (the third holiest site in Islam) “replaced” on the card’s image with a Jewish temple.

This is part of their openly-stated mission to demolish Al-Aqsa and build a Jewish temple in its place. Many Ministers of the current interim government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu frequently participate in the provocative tours into Al-Aqsa, and support the idea of demolishing it to “rebuild the temple” that was demolished by the Romans over 2000 years ago.

Ministry of Awqaf condemns repeated closures of Aqsa Mosque
Picture
The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has strongly denounced the repeated Israeli closures of the Aqsa Mosque and the attempt to tamper with the status quo at the Islamic holy site.

“The repeated closures of the Aqsa Mosque under flimsy pretexts are aimed at controlling it and preventing Muslim worshipers from going there for prayers, which is a gross violation of human rights and freedom of worship,” the Ministry said in a statement.

“The occupation government’s practices through its security and military arms and policies clearly and explicitly reflect the intents it is harboring against the Aqsa Mosque, its premises and courtyards,’ the Ministry added.

It appealed to international human rights groups, especially those concerned with human heritage, to put an end to Israel’s violations against the Islamic sanctity of the Aqsa Mosque and protect the Muslim worshipers’ right to enter the holy site and perform their prayers.

On Thursday afternoon, the Israeli occupation police closed all the gates and entrances of the Aqsa Mosque and barred Muslim worshipers from entering it following an alleged stabbing incident in the Old City of Jerusalem. However, the Mosque was reopened a few hours later.

According to local sources, Dichter entered the Mosque along with other settlers and toured its courtyards.

The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.
