In an unprecedented move, Israeli forces on Sunday night put up posters in a refugee camp near Hebron featuring photos of locals Israeli forces claim are the fathers of those who commit "terrorist attacks."
The Arabic-language posters were put up at al-Arrub refugee camp and targeted the parents of "teenagers who attack Israeli vehicles."
Israeli intelligence posted pamphlets on walls at the entrance to the camp with photos and names of five residents of Al-Arrub refugee camp.
Ma'an obtained a copy of the posters, which warn the alleged fathers that their kids are involved in "terrorist attacks" against Israelis.
"We hereby notify you that your children are involved in terrorist attacks against citizens of the state of Israel. Practices by those young men endanger innocent citizens, and if they do not stop what they do, the IDF will have to take action to stop these practices."
It was unclear whether the poster refers to incidents of stone-throwing which target vehicles driven by Israeli settlers in the area, or if it referred to attacks on Israeli military vehicles.
The pamphlet is undersigned by Abu Salam from the IDF command. It includes names and photos of nine fathers of young men who allegedly carry out attacks against Israelis.
The names are Amjad Mousa Younis Titi, Ahmad Muhammad Hasan al-Hasaniyya, Khalid Salamah Muhammad al-Jundi, Zuhdi Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Aziz Mahthouth, Khalid Abdul-Fattah Abdul-Aziz Jawabrah, Musallam Muhammad Musallam Abu Sal, Zein Addin Atallah Hammad Jawabrah, Taysir Abdul-Rahman Muhammad Titi and Abdul-Rahman Hasan Ibrahim Abu Sal.
"Stop them before it's too late," the pamphlet concluded.
Al-Arrub refugee camp is located on the Hebron-Jerusalem road, immediately south of the Gush Etzion Israeli settlement block and beside an Israeli checkpoint.
There are 19 refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, within which live about a quarter of the 771,000 registered refugees in the territory.
More than 760,000 Palestinians -- estimated today to number 4.8 million with their descendants -- were pushed into exile or driven out of their homes in the conflict surrounding Israel's creation in 1948.

The child told the lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) that he was arrested at midnight after the soldiers shot at his direction and then severely beat him with their rifle butts.
The child said that soldiers from the Israeli army transferred him to Qiryat Arba settlement where he was interrogated and then he was taken to Etzion detention center, in which he was subjected to psychological and physical torture that continued until his release on Tuesday night.

Palestinian human rights sources said that the occupation authorities issued an arrest warrant against a 4-year-old Jerusalemite child. The Information Center of Wadi al-Hilwa in Silwan said in a press release on Thursday that an Israeli military force raided the house of the citizen Zine al-Majid, in Saadin neighborhood in the Old City of Jerusalem, to arrest his son Mohammed, who is four years old.
The center quoted the father as saying "a large force stormed my house and asked me about the names of my children, when I answered, they told me they have an order to arrest my son Mohammed. I was very surprised and told one of the officers Mohammed is only 4 years old. However, he was not convinced and asked me to wake him up. Only after seeing him the officer retreated from implementing the arrest warrant."
The Israeli officers interrogated Mohammed's father about his child and his friends in the neighborhood, under the pretext that they are suspected of attacking a settler. They also threatened to summon Mohammed for interrogation.

The Israeli occupation violence at military checkpoints erected throughout the West Bank against Palestinians is not limited to residents of the West Bank, but includes "Israeli-Palestinians”. Sources from 1948-occupied Palestine confirmed that an Arab girl, whose lost both of her arms at the age of 12 years, was assaulted by Israeli forces while passing through a military checkpoint at Jenin northern West Bank.
Arab MK Afu Ighbariya said in a letter to the Israeli Ministry of Public Security that an Arab girl, from Nazareth, has been subjected to provocation while passing through an Israeli military checkpoint after visiting her relatives in Jenin.
She was subjected to humiliating search where Israeli soldiers forced her to take off her prosthetic arms, claiming that it is a part of the search. She was left without her prosthetic arms for two hours. When she complained about this barbaric treatment she was told by a female officer to go and search in the rules of the Israeli Ministry of Public Affairs and find out if there are any rules that do not allow taking off prosthetic limbs during a body search.
MK Afu quoted the girl, Huda al-Zoghbias, as saying that five Israeli soldiers have searched her violently with complete disregard to her health condition and her physical disability.
He stressed in his letter that Israeli soldiers used rude and provocative policy against disabled Arab citizens.

Zakusilo pictured on the television show

An Israeli soldier admitted that she shot and killed unknown numbers of Palestinian people, including children, on a Ukrainian television program that aired in early November.
Elena Zakusilo, a Ukrainian Jewish woman who moved to Israel in order to serve in the Israeli army, revealed on the Nov. 4 episode of the program "Lie Detector" that she had killed Palestinians and had shot at Palestinian children, but was unsure how many she managed to kill.
Zakusilo, who goes by the name Elena Gluzman in Israel, also explained that she trained army dogs to raid Palestinian villages and conduct video surveillance that she monitored from up to 10 kilometers away.
Zakusilo said on the show that one of the times when she shot Palestinians was during protests that broke out after Yasser Arafat died in 2004.
"It's scary, especially when children run with Molotov cocktails, and they send children, to turn the attention to them, little kid, barely walking, 3-4 years old," she added, explaining that she was unsure how many Palestinian children she had shot dead.
Although Zakusilo said was "not proud" of these acts, she blamed Palestinian mothers for sending their children to be "suicide bombers" and suggested that they did not care about their children's lives.
Zakusilo also spoke about her work training dogs for reconnaissance missions into Palestinian villages, which involved placing headphones and cameras on them and directing them to attack Palestinians they encountered until soldiers could arrive.
"The doggy gets a little bag in teeth, it can be a video camera."
"It has an electronic collar, and a camera that hangs on the collar, and the trainer has the remote control, and he, from a distance up to ten kilometers, can watch and give orders to the dog, to attack or not attack," she added.
Zakusilo explained that she was a "senior trainer" and trained a total of 150 dogs, and for her work she was promoted to the rank of major.
'Willing to go back to Israel and continue killing enemies'
Zakusilo's mother was also present during the show's filming, and when asked if she knew her daughter had killed people, said, "Of course, how can you be in the military without (killing)."
Zakusilo responded in the affirmative when asked by the game show host if she was "willing to go back to Israel and continue killing enemies" if she had financial difficulties in Ukraine, and said that she was unafraid of potential repercussions for revealing what she had done while in the Israeli forces.
She also explained that she goes by the name of Gluzman in Israel, "so that they won't hear there our Ukrainian family name, and with the other name (Gluzman), with Jewish roots, they'd treat (me) differently."
Zakusilo added that while at first she hesitated to kill people, she came to see her fellow soldiers as "family," and they helped her come to terms with killing Palestinian children and other feelings she had.
Referring to her commander, she said, "He is a general, he tells you to go and shoot like this, so you go. But if you come to him and say, just for example, you know, I was walking down the road, and there was a kitten there, ran over by a car, or a person hit, and I feel bad."
"He will sit with you for an hour to talk, and try to understand why you feel bad."
The transcript of the television show was uploaded by Palestinian activist Abir Kopty on Oximity, and although the video is freely available on the television show's website, the translation could not be independently verified by Ma'an.
'Because we're human, we get shocked by people who kill'
Kopty, the Palestinian blogger who found the video and posted it, explained that she was "shocked," but not surprised by Zakusilo's comments.
"We see and here this all the time and we know it first hand but it's always shocking. Because we're human, we get shocked by people when they talk about killing."
She also explained that the "case represents a wider phenomenon," and that it shows what "the military does this to people- it disconnects them from their own humanity, and makes it so easy to kill people and do not even remember the number."
"The Israeli military will probably either discredit her, or justify her actions or say, as always, it's an individual case" in order to explain it, she argued.
"This case represents the way they act."
Kopty said that individual Israelis had responded or commented on the piece repeating the Israeli army's "mantra" justifying what she says, in order to absolve the Israeli forces as a whole of responsibility.
"The machinery of propaganda always works, and they try to justify everything," she said.
"I really hope, that one day all these criminals face trial."
An Israeli army spokeswoman could not immediately confirm whether Zakusilo had served in the Israeli forces when contacted over the weekend.
Amnesty International's 2013 report on Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories highlighted the lack of accountability for Israeli soldiers' crimes against Palestinian civilians, pointing out that, "The authorities again failed to independently investigate killings of Palestinian civilians by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank and Gaza or to prosecute those responsible."
Israeli organization Breaking the Silence has collected 700 testimonies of Israeli army veterans, documenting a culture of widespread mistreatment and dehumanization of Palestinians among Israeli soldiers.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday evening released the child Mohammed Hamid, 12, after he was arrested and assaulted, in Silwad east of Ramallah. The IOF kidnapped Mohammed during violent clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths on the Shohadaa roundabout in Silwad, after accusing him of throwing stones at Israeli soldiers.
His family said that the occupation released him after midnight, after a detention that lasted for more than seven hours in Ben Yamin Camp at Ofer prison. During his detention Mohammed was severely assaulted by the Israeli soldiers, which resulted in breaking his hand and other bruises in the head and all over his body.
The IOF has also arrested and attacked four other children, causing them bruises.
Their families appealed to the competent authorities to intervene for the release of their sons who have been absent from schools due to their detention.
Another Palestinian child from Fawwar camp south of al-Khalil was arrested on Saturday evening by the Israeli soldiers, who have been deployed in the region.
Eyewitnesses said that more than five Israeli patrols were present at the entrance to the camp during the arrest of the child who was then taken to an unknown destination.
They added that the occupation forces attacked the citizens and searched the vehicles entering and leaving the camp, while a state of tension was prevailing in the place amid expectations of outbreak of new confrontations.

Israeli soldiers were caught on tape violently attacked a Palestinian woman at the Za’tara roadblock, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the resident who documented the attack said that, as he was trying to cross the roadblock, he noticed Israeli soldiers shouting at the young woman, cursing at her, and threw her onto the ground.
After violently attacking her, the soldiers cuffed her and placed her in a police vehicle that initially took her to an unknown destination. She has been identified as We’am Samid Aseeda, 22, from Tal village, south of Nablus.
Her father said that he only knew about her arrest after receiving a phone call from a Palestinian lawyer who informed him his daughter was moved to the HaSharon Prison.
The Israeli army alleges that Aseeda attempted to stab an Israeli soldier on the roadblock.
The army initially moved her to the Ariel police station in Ariel settlement bloc, in the northern part of the West Bank.

The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) published on Wednesday, 30th October 2013, a video footage shows Israeli soldiers arresting two terrified Palestinian boys in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron (Khalil).
An international activist in the video repeatedly said, "He is eleven years old, he is too young to be arrested. He is under 12 years old, he is too young to be arrested." According to ISM, the Israeli forces fired stun grenades toward the schoolchildren before grabbing and taking the 10-year-old kids, Noor and Mohammed, to a nearby police station. The detained kids were transferred to the Palestinian District Coordination Office (DCO) after about an hour. |
Activists in the video said that detaining children is illegal, even according to Israeli law.
The group said the children in Hebron are routinely harassed and arrested on their way to school without just cause or reason.
Human rights groups condemn the Israeli continued brutal actions against the Palestinian children and called on the international community to intervene to stop the Israeli arrest and detention of children which violate the international humanitarian law.
It's worth mentioning that hundreds of Palestinians under the age of 18 are currently held in Israeli jails. These children are subjected to mistreatment and torture during their interrogation and detention in Israeli facilities.

A Palestinian child, identified as Mohammad Mahdi Suleiman, 15 years of age, could face a life-term by an Israeli court for “throwing stones at the soldiers, and endangering their lives”.
The child is from Hares village, near the central West Bank district of Salfit. He will be sent to court in the coming few days.
The Israeli Prosecution said it intends to ask for the highest penalty that could reach up to a life in prison, the Wa’ed Society for Detainees has reported.
Wa’ed said that the child was kidnapped on March 15 this year, after Israeli soldiers violently broke into his home and searched it.
He was then sent to a military court and the Israeli prosecutor’s office demanded that the child be sentenced to a life-term for throwing stones at the soldiers, and engendering their lives.
Wa’ed said that this is an unprecedented violation and abuse targeting the child, one of the youngest prisoners in the world, and called on the UNICEF and international human rights groups to intervene, and perform their moral and legal duty to protect the children.
It added that the child is being held under very tough conditions, facing torture and abuse, and that the Israeli interrogators deprive him from drinking water during long hours of interrogations, and that the interrogators even forced him to drink alcohol during interrogation.
The society said that the Israeli violations against the children, especially child prisoners, are ongoing and escalating, while the International Community continues to shed a blind eye.

A number of Israeli soldiers attacked on Tuesday [October 22, 2013] a Palestinian child at one of the military roadblocks in the Old City of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank. The child lost consciousness and was moved to a local hospital.
Medical sources said that Red Crescent medics provided the child, Hamdan Mohammad Sha’abna, 15, with the urgently needed first aid, and moved him to the Hebron Governmental Hospital in the city.
The child suffered concussion due to being repeatedly hit and punched in the head, and suffered internal bleeding as the soldiers also kicked him in his abdomen, in addition to kicking and punching him in the arms and legs, the Radio Bethlehem 2000 has reported.
His mother said that as she and her child were trying to cross a military roadblock in Bab Az-Zaweya area, two Israeli soldiers stopped them and asked the child to show them his ID card. The child said he does not have one, as ID cards are issued at age 16.
The soldiers then forced the child against a wall before a soldier kicked him in the legs and continued to punch him and hit him with his rifle on his abdomen, followed by several blows to the head; the child fell unconscious, barely breathing.
Medical sources at the Hebron Hospital said that the child is currently in a stable condition, and that he will remain hospitalized for further checkups to ensure full recovery, and to ensure the violent beating did not lead to serious damage to his organs.
In related news, a number of extremist Israeli settlers illegally occupied a Palestinian home at the entrance of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
Local sources have reported that the settlers moved furniture and supplies into the building, and added that the location of the property is very important as it next to the road the Palestinians take to enter the mosque.
Residents expressed fear that, should the settlers turn the property into an outpost, Muslim worshipers heading to the mosque will be subject to ongoing assaults.
IOF soldiers use rifle butts in beating Palestinian child, triggering clashes
A Palestinian child was injured in Al-Khalil on Tuesday after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) manning a roadblock in downtown used their rifle butts in assaulting him. Eyewitnesses told the PIC that clashes erupted after the incident, adding that the child was severely beaten.
They said that the soldiers fired teargas and metal bullets at citizens and parking cars in Bab Al-Zawiya, adding that young men threw stones and empty bottles at the soldiers.
They said that soldiers occupied rooftops of buildings in the suburb where tension was running high since the morning hours after dozens of young men gathered in protest at the killing of Mohammed Asy, a Palestinian resistance fighter, at the hands of IOF soldiers in Ramallah.

She said that the Israeli soldier who shot Musab was only about 40 meters from their car.
Immediately following the incident, Musab noticed blood flowing from right eye, and was taken to the hospital. One of the rubber-coated metal bullets fired by the Israeli soldier hit Musab straight in the eye.
Musab told Ma'an that earlier in the day he had gone with his mother to visit his uncle's house. While making their way back home, an Israeli soldier shot him, he said.
Musab wondered: "Why did the Israeli soldier shoot me? I lost my eye, and I am still so young for that."
Musab's father explained: "I left the house and my son had two eyes, and I came back home and now my son has one eye." He noted that he couldn’t even look at his son, and that it was painful for him to see his son suffering.
According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, the incident occurred as Israeli forces closed the main entrance to al-Fawwar refugee camp, deploying around bypass road 60.
Some boys gathered and threw stones and empty bottles at Israeli soldiers, who fired tear gas canisters in response, the group said, and as a result, several boys suffered tear-gas inhalation.
Around the same time, the group said, a soldier fired rubber-coated metal bullets at a woman and her children while they were standing nearby, leading to Sarahna's injury.

Israeli forces on Saturday handed notices to several residents in the al-Sadiyya neighborhood in Jerusalem's Old City, giving Israeli forces permission to access the rooftops of their houses, locals said.
Local resident Inas Ali Mitab told Ma'an that Israeli forces entered several homes and handed homeowners the notices, threatening to arrest anyone who refused to grant them permission to use their rooftops.
Residents refused the orders and tore them up on the spot, Inas added.
Jerusalem's Old City is located inside East Jerusalem, a part of the internationally recognized Palestinian territories.
It has been under Israeli occupation since 1967, and Israel unilaterally annexed East Jerusalem in 1980. Approximately 200,000 Israeli settlers reside in the area in contravention of international law.
